Expo’s Aegis purge system is designed for use on a wide
range of applications and enclosures.
The system controls and monitors the release of purge air
(normally from a clean dry compressed air supply) into the enclosure
containing the electrical equipment to be protected. When the
required purge volume has been measured, the system enables power to
the protected equipment and then monitors the enclosure pressure to
ensure it remains above that of the surrounding environment. The
fully automatic system comprises a system control unit and a flow
handling unit.
