Pressurized Enclosures

Expo offers standard and custom-design pressurized enclosures.

Standard enclosures are available in a wide range of sizes to suit most industrial control and instrumentation applications. The range includes plain rectangular enclosures and specially designed computer monitor enclosures.

They are available in 316L stainless steel to withstand the harshest of environments. All designs are approved to exacting international standards.

For special applications, Expo’s team of specialist designers is available to create bespoke solutions. Custom designs can be developed to allow for ease of movement, access to controls or displays, moving parts and awkward shapes, such as probes and sensors.

This range of pressurized enclosures is ATEX component Certified to EN 50016 and is also available with full ATEX European Certification when the internal apparatus is installed to the Expo "Schedule of Limitations" and verified by an Expo qualified engineer.

The European Standard for Purge and Pressurize is EN 50016. Equipment designed to this concept is suitable for use in Category 2, Zone 1 and Category 3, Zone 2 hazardous locations.
The USA standard for Purge and Pressurize is NFPA 496. Equipment designed to this concept is suitable for use in Class I, Division 1 or 2 hazardous locations.
