Expo’s range of high performance, friction free pneumatic valves combine exceptionally low power operation with high reliability in low use and frequent cycling applications.

Our intrinsically safe Friction Free Valve (FFV) gives wear free and frictionless operation and provides freedom from sticking, one of the most common plant valve problems.

The high reliability is achieved by the use of suspended poppets which have a large area but very small movement. This arrangement gives virtually friction free operation. This makes the FFV equally suited to applications which are continually cycling, or to applications where a valve is held in one position for long periods and a high level of confidence is required for emergency shutdown systems.

For use in hazardous areas, Expo’s intrinsically safe range of pneumatic solenoid valves offer significant cabling and installation cost benefits.
