Expo has received an order for multiple large capacity motor purge systems from a leading global electric motor manufacturer. Destined for use in Qatar, where local LNG processing infrastructure is undergoing massive expansion, our systems will provide hazardous area protection for high voltage motors that drive high throughput gas compressors, forming part of the LNG "Train".
An LNG train is a liquefied natural gas plant's liquefaction and purification facility. Incoming raw natural gas undergoes a variety of purification processes to remove impurities that would otherwise cause problems when the LNG is liquified at below -161°C. These processes require strict safety precautions during all stages, due to the flammability of the gas.
