What are some of the more unusual projects you have worked on with Expo?
My work with a major German motor manufacturer on the Nord Stream pipeline was important, not only for Expo Technologies but also for European energy security, showcasing our capacity to develop and deliver equipment for projects of vast scale and complexity. A recent large LNG project in Canada reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship with our purge systems at the core of one of the worlds’ most eco-friendly LNG facilities. Working alongside Expo’s engineering team, a mobile driller’s cabin project has revolutionized safety in drilling operations by integrating advanced controls with robust Ex p automation, enhancing worker safety in Zone 1 conditions. Our collaboration with a leading innovator in Finland on custom purge solutions for the deployment of rotor sail technology exemplifies Expo’s dedication to sustainable progress that significantly boosts fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions in maritime transport. Finally, our engagement in an ongoing Ex p solution with CERN’s hydrogen project in Switzerland will potentially extend the boundaries of Ex p as a protection solution.

What do you like about working with the DACH region?
The DACH market is fascinating, with huge potential. Aside from major hydrocarbon- energy projects, where customers work with Expo on large electric motor protection, the hydrogen economy is also a significant growth opportunity, requiring Expo to deliver its hazardous area expertise to new and emerging companies. The region also has a broad range of high-tech industries such as robotics and analyser manufacture where hazardous area knowhow is also a critical success factor.
