Global Hazardous Area Product Certification Explained

What is global hazardous area product certification?
In short, it doesn't exist as a single step.
Around the world, there are three main product certification schemes IECEx, ATEX, and a scheme based around the NEC (National Electrical Code) mainly used in the USA.

SmartPurge Z: Purge and Pressurisation Solution

SmartPurge Z continues its certification journey.
We are pleased to announce that, following the recent CCC and INMETRO certifications, SmartPurge Z has now also achieved UL and KCS certification for use in North America and the Republic of Korea.
With these latest approvals, SmartPurge Z now holds a total of seven certifications, marking an important milestone in expanding its availability across key global markets and supporting safe, compliant pressurization solutions worldwide for Zone 2, Class I Div 2 gas applications.

Classification of Flammable Materials in Hazardous Areas

Flammable material classification is not just a technical detail. It is the line between compliance and catastrophe.
From the oil & gas and petrochemical industries to food manufacturing, understanding the classification of flammable materials groups directly impacts the safe selection of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
